Jaime Morais Sarmento is the new Corporate Director of Human Resources at United Investments Portugal (UIP), owner of Pine Cliffs Resort and Sheraton Cascais Resort. He also holds this position as Director of Human Resources at Pine Cliffs Resort.

Jaime Sarmento returns to the UIP, ten years after he held this position at the Sheraton Algarve between 1998 and 2009.

With a vast experience in the industry, Jaime Sarmento moved from Pestana Hotels & Resorts, where he held the position of Director of Human Resources for Portugal and Africa between 2009 and 2019.

Jaime Sarmento also went through Arthur Andersen, as HR Executive from 1990 to 1994, and also from Bacardi-Martini Portugal, from 1994 to 1998, as HR Manager.

"This return represents a huge challenge at all levels. Pine Cliffs Resort has gained a new dimension in the last years, with a very varied, differentiating and high quality offer. On the other hand, the UIP has new projects that are equally challenging. The requirement for specialized human resources is therefore very high, "says the official.

A graduate in Human Resource Management and Work Psychology from the European University and an MBA in General Business from the Darden School at the University of Virginia in the United States, Jaime Sarmento will be responsible for the entire human resources strategy at Pine Cliffs Resort and the UIP .
